surf like a girl
LA-produced Surf Like A Girl is a webzine that celebrates girls who surf, skate, and snowboard. Aside from the dodgy acronym the name transforms into (maybe the Americans don't use the term?) this is a fun website, and they've recenty added loads of green-themed stuff. This is an area SurfGirl wants to expand on our own website, but in the meantime, take a look at their ideas:
'New features on the website offer advice on green living for environmentally conscious boarders, with tips in the “Ask Betty” column, plus suggestions from Surfrider Foundation and Heal the Bay. The “In the Know” news section includes reports on global warming, eco-friendly surfboards and other goods, and the travel feature is devoted to eco travel options. Additionally, Carissa Moore, the subject of this month’s interview with a pro boarder, answers questions on living green, and the “Splurge!” shopping column includes items that are all eco-friendly.'
