Cornwall Surfer Girls update
Cornwall Surfer Girls now has a website and Facebook group and a meeting scheduled for FRIDAY 18 JULY at Perranporth - come and meet us around 7pm at the Freeride Surf School premises (by Seiners Arms) for a BBQ, surf and camp, weather permitting. It's £15 to join (£10 under 18); come along and see if it's for you!

There is one in Devon! North…
Former British and English champion Sarah Whiteley has started a surf club for North Devon girlies called the Walking On Waves Surf Girls Association, in association with Hyundai. The club started in July and already has 40 girls hitting the waves every week. Sarah said, “There are so many girls in the area who surf, and it’s great to get them all together so they can improve in a less intimidating environment.” Sarah, who is a BSA Level 2 surf coach, is on hand along with Woolacombe surfer Sue Allen to give tuition and coaching at the new club. She added: “It doesn’t matter whether you’re a really good surfer, or you’re a total beginner…everyone is welcome.” The club runs every Tuesday night at Saunton. Membership costs £50 which includes club membership, 10 weeks of coaching and equipment if needed. The girls are also planning to start doing surf fitness training on the beach with Chloe Hubbard as well as a club trip in October.
