Cornwall Surfer Girls update

Cornwall Surfer Girls now has a website and Facebook group and a meeting scheduled for FRIDAY 18 JULY at Perranporth - come and meet us around 7pm at the Freeride Surf School premises (by Seiners Arms) for a BBQ, surf and camp, weather permitting. It's £15 to join (£10 under 18); come along and see if it's for you!

Surfstock

Tickets are now on sale for Surfstock, 29-30 August at St Agnes. The lineup includes The Gossip, Supergrass, the Go! Team and The Likes with 60+ acts on four stages. There’s also the Cult Energy Drink Tag Team Surf Challenge and Tow-At Challenge with a £10,000 prize purse (the largest in the UK). This year’s festival also includes the first annual Surfstock H30 British Big Wave Awards in association with CARVE magazine, with six categories and £3500 prize money. Surfstock ticket holders will vote for the Surfer Of The Year and Photo Of The Year. Tickets and more info available from www.surfstock.co.uk at £80 (including two nights camping). I hope Lush don't mind me using their image here - how lush is this board!!! It's the Samba. I'd be samba'ing if I got one of these for Christmas! The office Carveboard disappeared and my old Gravity scares me since I took my knees to the bone on Hell's Mouth hill.

Xmas party!!

Even though it says 'Carve and ThreeSixty' party, it's the SurfGirl Xmas party as well! And tailor-made for those of you who love 80s themes - and who doesn't?! Come, it will be fun! Anyone who actually wears rollerboots gets a free drink. (I made that up, but if you're that brave I'll buy you one!)

Roxy perfume

Got sent some Roxy perfume to try out, along with some shower gel and body lotion. I'm not one for perfume really, and it takes me for ever to find something I like, so I was pleasantly surprised to find I love it! It's a nice fresh fragrance, nothing overpowering. This is how Roxy describe it, and I think it's quite fitting:

'Conjures up sunshine, sea and beaches. It is a flowery, sunny, fruity and light scent. A perfume full of cheer, color and vitality that reflects the carefree attitude and joie de vivre of a naturally beautiful girl. Sparkling fruit, sundrenched flowers and ocean wood, three themes whose alliance gives you an exceptional fragrance.' They use organic ylang ylang as well.

Not sure where you can get this in the UK but I assume department stores would have it. It's definitely worth a try.
