OceanDaze festival

Sennen, Cornwall – 4/5 September 2009
In association with The National Trust, Shelter Box, The Zero Lounge, Penzance, www.cornwallscoolest.com (and us!)

There's a huge and expanding lineup for this festy, and the boys have been working super-hard on it. We reckon £35 is a bargain for a weekend of music and surfing, and the location is stunning. Take a look at the full lineup and info here and grab tickets from www.cornwallscoolest.com.

You want to be able to say you were at the very first OceanDaze!

SurfGirl has scored a guest blogger or two recently - here's the first of them, Amy Brock-Morgan from Penryn, Cornwall.

Amy says: "I am off to Europe in a van with my little one and covering the antics and surfing we get up to in my blog. I am sponsored by Gul and the Eden Project and ride their ecoboards and also Leven boards shaped by Jason Mather."

Here's Amy with Mark 'Egor' Harris testing out one of the amazing new Eden Eco Boards:

Volunteer - The Surf Relief Festival Needs Help!

Organisers of the Surf Relief Festival are seeking volunteers to be part of country’s only surfing and live music festival on a beach. Help is needed to manage the site and ensure the smooth running of the event on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July 2009.

Event organiser Phil Williams of Christian Surfers UK said: “We’re looking for people who can contribute some of their time to help us with a wide range of functions across the site, from marshalling traffic and pedestrians, assisting with car parking duties, and helping with beach-based sports activities. Volunteers can pick the times that they are available to help in what will be a really fun and different event.”

Volunteers are needed to help between 7am and 6pm on Friday 17th July, and from 7am to 9pm on Saturday 18th July. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Phil Williams on 07774 138143 or e-mail phil@christiansurfers.co.uk
